THE Princess Royal is to pay a special visit to Golborne company, Angelica Workwear. Machinists at the manufacturing firm have made two green bodywarmers for The Princess Royal, who will visit the factory next Friday in her capacity as president of the British Knitting & Clothing Export Council. The women at the factory, which makes special items for staff at Manchester Airport, were thrilled to be charged with the task of making a gift for the Princess.

Managing director, Eric Hudson, said: "We are honoured that The Princess Royal has agreed to visit Angelica.

"We are an expanding company, a major player in the career and workwear industry, and increasing sales both in the UK and overseas."

In addition to receiving the bodywarmers, ideal for wearing on walks or rides,The Princess Royal will be presented with a cheque for Save the Children Fund.

The president of the board of Angelica, Larry Young, will be flying in from the parent company's American headquarters in St Louis to attend the Royal day.
