NON-League boom side FC United of Manchester are warning fans of a possible lock-out when they play at Radcliffe Boro on Saturday.

The club - formed as a breakaway after the American takeover of Manchester United - are attracting record crowds for games in the North West Counties Second Division.

On Saturday a crowd of 2,266 watched them beat Blackpool Mechanuics 4-2 at Bury's Gigg Lane - where they play home matches - in direct competition with the Manchester Premiership derby between United and City.

This weekend they play Castleton Gabriels in an away fixture but the match has been switched to Boro because of the large crowd expected. The full United side have no game on Saturday, playing Liverpool at Anfield in a Sky TV clash on Sunday lunchtime.

The www.fc-utd.co.uk website reports:

"The ground has a capacity of just 2,500 and only a small number of turnstiles so best to get to the ground early to avoid the last minute rush and any chance of a lockout.

"It should be noted that car parking is very difficult around the ground and supporters are advised to use public transport where possible or park awy from the ground and walk.

"Metrolink: A frequent service runs to Bury from Altrincham, Piccadilly and Victoria. Radcliffe is one stop before Bury. From the station you're about a 15-minute walk from the ground.

"To walk from the Metro, proceed through the car park and go left slightly uphill to the traffic lights (1/4 mile); Turn right and proceed to next lights (1/4 mile) then go right again uphill (Ainsworth Rd) until you get to the Victoria pub (1/4 mile). Go left here past Red Bank (large playing fields). Stainton Park is at the far end to your right.

"Admission will be by cash payment on the gate: £6 for adults and £2 for concessions."
