WHEN will motoring groups stop condemning speed cameras? Don't they know that more than half the population - children and the elderly in particular - depend on them?
It was claimed recently that cameras were faulty and punishing innocent drivers. Now it is the case that 'pillars of the community' such as bank managers, accountants, professionals are being turned into criminals by getting points on their driving licences.
Forget the 'innocent' drivers, they will get over it. Not so the parents of the innocent children killed or seriously hurt on our roads.
