I COULD not agree more with Lord John Stevens call for the return of capital punishment for police killers. These brave men and women put their lives on the line every day for us with very little protection.
I would also like to see those who cold bloodedly kill the more vulnerable members of our society - children and the elderly - given the ultimate penalty too.
Another deterrent against the growing violence in our towns would be the re-introduction of corporal punishment for adults convicted of violent crimes such as the random acts of violence that is becoming more and more frequent these days.
It is about time we stopped listening to the bleeding hearts and took back our streets!
