BOLTON accountancy firm Jackson Stephen LLP ensured all was well with finances in the takeover of the flagship Bolton branch of the Preston & Duckworth chain of jewellers by Macclesfield-based Cottrills.
The "due diligence" team, led by Diane Brennan, also advised Cottrills on the commercial aspects of the deal.
Following a refurbishment of the premises at Bolton, the owners intend to re-establish the Prestons of Bolton brand in early 2006. Cottrills expects to increase its annual turnover to more than £20 million.
