A CANDLE display highlighting the fact more than 1,000 children in Manchester are homeless this Christmas took place in the city on Tuesday.
Shelter organised the candlelit display with a light for each of Manchester's 1,141 children who are homeless, according to government figures.
Shelter said there were 3,243 homeless children in the North-west.
