A house had to be evacuated after a car fire led to a gas main rupturing.
Arsonists deliberately set the Ford Transit Van alight on land off Ladies Lane, Hindley, near Wigan, at around 7pm .
Firefighters alerted Transco who were called in to repair the gas leak.
The occupants of the house were allowed back in after an hour.
