A NEW chief planning officer is to take up his post at Bolton Council in February.
Tim Hill joins the local authority from the North-west Regional Assembly, where he has been the director of planning, housing, transport and sustainability for the past seven years.
He has represented the assembly on a number of bodies including the Northern Way Task Group, the North West Rural Board and the Regional Housing Board.
He replaces Richard Cowley who retired earlier this year.
