I AM sitting at my kitchen table looking with disbelief at a leaflet delivered today from Ramsbottom Labour Party and our Labour MP, David Chaytor.
The leaflet is inviting everyone to sign a petition to support 'Labour's campaign' to save the important maternity services and baby unit at Fairfield Hospital.
I know that Mr Chaytor is not exactly a 'Blairite', but the local Labour Party surely can't have forgotten that we have a Labour government and a Labour council? The threat to our services at Fairfield results from policies hatched by Labour, voted through by Labour and implemented by Labour.
This leaflet demonstrates Labour's hypocrisy of the highest order and deserves to be treated with contempt by all who receive it.
