A HINDLEY Green couple accused of falsely claiming their car had been stolen in a robbery have been warned by a judge that they may face jail.
Christopher Wilson and Suzanne Wilson both pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to attempting to pervert the course of justice by making a false robbery claim on April 9 last year.
Mr Wilson, aged 26, also admitted attempting to obtain an insurance pay-out by deception.
He and his 23-year-old wife, both of Leigh Road, were remanded on bail to await sentence on February 27.
Ordering pre-sentence reports to be prepared Judge Graham Platts warned the couple that the offences pass the custody threshold.
