A FORMER Greenmount Cricket Club player is to take over as secretary and chief executive at the MCC writes PHIL THORP.

Tasmanian Keith Bradshaw, 42, (pictured above) was overseas amateur with the Bolton League village side in the summer of 1985 before moving to Sussex a year later after receiving an Esso scholarship.

After three years playing state cricket for Tasmania, where he stood in as skipper for David Boon when he was on international duty, he retired from the first class game in 1988 and studied Commerce at the University of Tasmania.

A highly-successful commercial career followed where he spent time with PriceWaterhouse and was a Partner with Deloitte.

Keith will take up his prestigious post at Lord's in October. He succeeds retiring secretary and chief executive Roger Knight who spent 13 years in the position.
