BURY schoolchildren had the chance to play at being paramedics when an ambulance parked outside their school.
Paramedic Jill Robertson went to St Thomas's Primary School in Pimhole Road to talk to youngsters about life in the ambulance service and the equipment she uses.
She then gave the children, all aged three and four years, a guided tour of the ambulance.
The visit was organised as part of the children's work on transport and followed a visit from the fire service earlier last week.
Nursery teacher Mrs Jenny Cronin said: "We try to give the children as many first-hand experiences as possible and they had a good time. The children were really interested in the ambulance."
