TWO of Bolton's most talented buskers have joined forces to launch a recording career.
Nick Bold had been singing and playing his guitar near the Marks and Spencer store in Deansgate for more than five years when rival Linda Jennings arrived on the scene. But instead of a singer/songwriters turf war, the two players became friends and Nick asked Linda to join his band.
The Nick Bold Band releases its debut CD, called Full Circle, at a special gig at the Three Pigeons pub in Blackburn Road Astley Bridge on Saturday, February 11.
Nick has aleady had a taste of the limelight.
Two years ago appeared on Stars in Their Eyes as George Harrison singing the hit My Sweet Lord.
Nick joked: "People wonder why we don't busk together, but that would mean we would have to split the money.
He added: "What we do in the band is a lot different. There's a lot of electric guitar and they are all original songs.
"Asking Linda to join was a logical thing to do. She's a great singer and it means we can do great harmonies together."

The CD can also be bought via the website.
