FILM critics could be given a run for their money - by a Bolton student.
Turton School's Chris Oakley, aged 17, was one of six winners in the Young Film Reviewer of the Year competition.
He beat off hundreds of entries from young people all over England.
His written review was of Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit by Oscar winning animators Aardman.
The competition was run in association in with Connexions Card and Vue Cinemas.
Now Chris, who lives in Smithills, can watch all the new releases he wants, after winning a three-month pass that entitles him free entry to any film at any Vue Cinema, including the one at Middlebrook, Horwich.
Chris said: "I'm really pleased to have been a winner, it has certainly got me interested in a career in film journalism and I'm really excited about being able to see lots of new films with my prize in the upcoming months."
