A NEIGHBOUR from hell who was evicted from her home in Westhoughton is believed to have left the area.

Becky Stryker was thrown out of her two-bedroom house in The Pungle after she made the lives of residents a misery.

During the 18 months she lived on the estate, there were numerous complaints about anti-social behaviour including intimidation, noise and the number of visitors calling at her house at all hours of the day and night.

Following a five-month court battle, the landlords Contour Homes Ltd, finally evicted the 21-year-old last month.

Now, despite fears from residents that she had moved to another property on the estate, she is believed to have moved away.

Keith Sales, Anti-Social Behaviour Officer for Contour, said: "Following a meeting with residents association, all parties were convinced that the tenant in question has actually now left the estate for good.

"Obviously, we will continue to monitor the situation. Both our staff and residents will be looking out for any more sightings of the evicted person."

An injunction placed on Miss Stryker is in place until April and relates only to Miss Stryker's behaviour, not where she lives.

It means that if she returns to the estate and moves in with another resident, the housing association can do nothing as long as she behaves herself.

Kathy Gilfillan, chairman of the Pungle Residents Association said: "This is a ridiculous situation.

"She can be evicted from her own home but can move in with someone else - and there is nothing we can do."
