CELEBRATIONS of the Chinese New Year in Horwich brought good luck to a new restaurant - and to the Bolton Hospice.
The China Blue Restaurant - formerly Yu and You - held a fundraising opening evening to coincide with the New Year.
And it was complete with a traditional visit from a Chinese Lion, from Northern Dragons, which performed to ward off evil and bring luck to the new business.
"We felt it was bringing luck to us as well," said hospice fundraising director Debra Graham.
As well as a cash gift for the hospice from the Li family, which runs the new venture, the hospice also sold £250 worth of lottery tickets at the event.
Debra said: "It was a wonderful night.
"We are very grateful to the Li family for their support."
