The Bolton Evening News rightly reported the refusal by the Planning Committee to allow a new mobile phone mast on Blackburn Road.
Having proposed the refusal in Committee, supported by my ward colleague Councillor Mrs Fairclough we are delighted that the Committee shared our concerns and rejected the application.
What worries me, however, is that at the same meeting we were informed that a similar application on Crompton Way outside B&Q which again the committee supported our objections and refused a few weeks ago, has been approved on appeal by Mr Prescotts planning inspector.
We must keep ever vigilant in opposing such applications.
