GERMAN police are preparing for zero-tolerance approach to yobbish England fans going to the World Cup this summer.
They warn they will jail anyone caught giving Nazi salutes or goose-stepping like Basil Fawlty.
Anyone picked up for this behaviour will be hauled before a judge within 24 hours and will spend two weeks behind bars, according to The Sun.
If convicted of inciting racial hatred, they will face jail sentences of up to three years.
The crackdown will also focus on anyone wearing joke German helmets or offensive insignia, the paper says.
Police chief Gerhard Hauptmannl said: "We will come down hard on people who use insulting behaviour or make trouble.
"We are very sensitive about our history."
He added: "We will offer the warmest welcome to true football fans. But anyone glorifying extremism here risks arrest."
Speaking in Nuremberg, he said: "This used to be the city of the Nazi rallies but it is now famous as the city of human rights. We do not live in the past."
