BURNDEN Roadrunner Stewart Jones ran his best time for 10 years to complete the Blackpool 10K in 36 minutes 30 seconds and finish 25th out of 9,000 runners.
John Knowles was 12th overall in the Keswick Half Marathon in 1.21:35.
A number of Burnden runners travelled to the new Blacksticks Blue 10k attracted by the possibility of winning a cheese.
First home for Burnden was Pete Hopley in 40:40 followed by Dave Pearson who claimed third V55 with his time of 43.38. Returning to form, Lesley Fisher was second lady overall in 44:25 and Liz Hopley finished in 57:09.
Three Burnden runners completed the Belmont Winter Hill Fell Race with Anne Ferguson second F50 finishing the challenging course in 45:48. Don Nichol (47:55) and Chris Greenall (50:20) were the other Burnden representatives.
