A JURY was today due to consider its verdict in the case of a man accused of dragging a young mum into a park and raping her.
Thomas Greenhalgh, aged 22, of Campbell Court, Moses Gate, denies the attack on the 21-year-old in Farnworth, on October 18, last year. The attack is alleged to have happened after the pair spoke briefly in a pub. The victim says she was forced to the ground and raped. Greenhalgh admits having sex with the woman but says it was consensual.
The trial continues.
