A DRUNKEN man who headbutted a shop window has been sentenced. Scott Whitehead, aged 28, of Old Lane, Little Hulton, broke the window at the Co-op in Tonge Moor Road on May 21.
Bolton Magistrates’ Court heard that he was with friend Michael Sweeney, aged 20 at the time, but had no involvement in the incident. Police later arrested the pair and Sweeney resisted causing himself and an officer to fall over.
Whitehead pleaded guilty to criminal damage and was fined £100, ordered to pay £85 costs and £150 compensation.
Sweeney, of Roseacre Close, Bolton, pleaded guilty to resisting an officer and was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and £50 compensation to the officer.
