TOM Lancashire has been selected to run for Great Britain in the 1,500m at the European Championships in Barcelona later this month.

The Bolton star was today named alongside Andy Baddeley and Colin McCourt in the three-man team to compete for Europe’s top prize in athletics.

The Bromley Cross man’s call-up makes it three prestigious championships in successive years, following the World Championships last year and the Olympic Games the year before.

“I’m determined to have a good championships and make it to the final," said the 25-year-old Bolton Harrier from Bromley Cross.
