Join Thomas as he roars down the tracks with his most special delivery yet, The Lion of Sodor which will be released on DVD on Monday 28th March, 2011. We have teamed up with the distributors to promote their competition to give five lucky readers the chance to win a copy of the DVD.

This brand new DVD contains a host of delights for Thomas fans with four fun-filled episodes and a host of special extras. Hop on board with Thomas as he learns the importance of listening to others in this lionhearted collection of tales from the tracks.

When Thomas is told that he has to transport something called ‘The Lion of Sodor’ Thomas thinks that it is a real lion. When the other trains try to tell him that it is actually a statue, he is too excited to listen and gets his friends to help by giving the lion treacle, fish and straw. With the lion now in a real sticky mess will he be able to get it cleaned in time for its big unveiling?

In Thomas and the Pigs, Thomas is asked by Farmer Trotter to collect some straw for the piglets which are due to be born. On the way Thomas sees other things he thinks the piglets will like. He soon discovers all the piglets really need is straw and rushes off to correct his mistake in time for the piglets’ arrival.

In Time For a Story,The Fat Controller announces that the library is holding a special story time for all the children. Thomas is so excited that he has been chosen to deliver the books that he doesn’t wait to for them to be tied in place. As Thomas chuffs faster and faster he ends up along a bumpy track and his trucks bump high in the air and the storybooks land in Farmer McColl’s field. Not wanting to let the children down the resourceful engine decides to make it a picnic story time, and brings the children to the storybooks.

In Hiro Helps Out, Hiro steps in to lend a hand when the Fat Controller is really busy, by making decisions for him. He instructs Edward to take the visitors to the hills, tells Thomas to visit Farmer Trotter and the piglets and asks Percy to take his flatbed of ducks to the Fenland for a swim. Hiro is thrilled with himself until he discovers he sent the engines on the wrong jobs. Can he make everything right again?

Bonus extras include activities and fun introduced by Mr Perkins. There’s the sing-a-long song Roll Along, a live action film of a steam engine and a Guess Who? Puzzle.
