Bob Greaves who fronted news programmes in the North West for more than 30 years has died.
The former newspaper journalist presented Granada Reports from 1973 and into the 1990s.
He also presented for other programmes made by Granada Television from 1967 including Scramble and Family Trees.
Outside of Granada, he is best remembered for a clip on It'll Be Alright on the Night involving an elephant at Chester Zoo in 1981.
Bob had been battling with cancer. He died yesterday afternoon aged 76.
