A TEENAGER killed in a crash has been described as a "much loved son".

Sixteen-year-old Reece O'Neil died after the off-road motorcycle he was riding collided with a car.

His family have paid tribute. Their statement says: “Reece was a much loved son and brother.

“He always had a spring in his step and a cheeky side to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”

At 12.45am on Thursday the emergency services were called to Marsden Road, in the town centre, following reports of a crash.

An off-road motorcycle and a Nissan Micra had collided.

Reece died at the scene. An 18-year-old man, who was also on the bike, suffered minor injuries.

The Micra driver was uninjured.
