I've been away for a while off the Bolton News website, and I've seen a lot happen at the Reebok Stadium this season, and I am ready to be as good as ever, with the season close fast approaching, and the Whites looking at a possible Europa League spot.

In this article, I'm going to take a look at the positions Mr. Coyle and the board should possibly look to strengthen in the Summer.

GOALKEEPER: Perhaps the unbelievable reign of the Big Finn Jussi Jaaskelainen, 34, is coming to an end. Possibly the greatest goalkeeper Bolton has ever had, and one of the Premier Leagues best Goalkeepers, and certainly, the most loyal player I have ever seen.

I seem to remember being a mascot for Bolton Wanderers in a Barclaycard Premiership Match on January 1 2004 between The Whites and West Bromwich Albion.

I remember the excitement of being in the car on the way to the Stadium to meet all the players, including my favourites, Campo, Hierro, Super Kev, Jay-Jay, and then the legend that is, Jussi.

But then the news spilled through that Arsenal had made a shock bid for the Finish stopper, and he would play no part in the WBA game.

I was obviously disappointed he was not to play, and my Dad always reminds me of when the 6ft 4" goalkeeper walked past me, all I could say was "What on earth are those brown shoes with a black and white suit."

Well, what can I say? I was a style god at the age of 8.

That deal fell through, so the other mascot will have felt slightly let down about having to walk out with a goalkeeper (Kevin Poole) who was old enough to be her grandfather.

Enough of the reminiscing for now though, and as the Trotters look onwards and upwards, I've been noticing that Jaaskelainen has been off form a little, not reaching things he usually would, not coming screaming for crosses like the Jussi of old, especially with the Great Finn coming close to retirement soon so, I've come up with a little shortlist of goalkeepers that we could look to target, post a comment if you agree or disagree with my list?

Targets - Joe Lewis £1M (Peterborough) , Ali Al Habsi (Bolton), Dorus de Vries £1.5M (Swansea), Shay Given £3M (Manchester City), Robert Green £4M (West Ham).

CENTRE BACK: With Gary Cahill taking a step closer to the exit with every game he plays, the Super Whites are going to need a suitable replacement for the future England star, so once again, I've got a few ideas.

To be quite honest, I don't know why Phil Gartside didn't offer me the Bolton job when he was looking, because I clearly seem to know best! Targets - Sol Campbell £500,000 (Newcastle), Wes Brown £3M (Manchester United), Charlie Mulgrew £3M (Celtic), Ian Evatt £2M (Blackpool), Daniel Agger £7M (Liverpool).

CENTRE FORWARD: Without on loan Chelsea hitman Danny Sturridge, we don't look dangerous in front of goal, okay, Johan Elmander and Kevin Davies may have 20 goals between them this season, but they are by no means prolific.

Sturridge didn't feature in the 5-0 demolition at Wembley (sorry for the reminder), or the 3-0 rout at Craven Cottage last night, unless we can get him in a cheeky £10M deal with Cahill to Chelsea, I can't see us being able to keep hold of him, we need a player who can grab 25 goals in a season, if we want to be aiming for a top 6 finish next year.

Targets - Jermain Defoe £9M (Spurs), DJ Campbell £5M (Blackpool), Demba Ba £9M (West Ham), Helder Postiga £12M (Sporting Lisbon), Matt Tubbs £3M (Crawley Town).

Maybe Matt Tubbs, who interestingly enough started his career at the Reebok, wouldn't be up to the standard of the Premier League, but he certainly has got a finish on him and is majorly prolific infront of goal in the lower leagues, 36 goals in 39 appearances for Crawley Town this season guided them to a simple promotion with 4 games left to play.

I wrote this, because I needed to write an article on the website, mainly because I haven't written for so long, because I haven't had access for so long. Thanks for reading.
