AN elderly woman suffered minor injuries after she fell through a loft at her home.
The woman, aged 70, stepped through plasterboard and got her leg stuck in the ceiling space.
Two firefighters rescued the woman after her worried daughter called the fire service to the house in Tarbet Drive, Breightmet, on Monday afternoon.
The crew used a ladder to get into the loft. The woman was treated by paramedics and she was taken to The Royal Bolton Hospital as a precaution.
She suffered some bruising to her body and was later released.
