A WEDDING breakfast was enjoyed by youngsters in honour of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Royal nuptials today.
Youngsters aged four to seven tucked into a feast fit for a king.
The banquet, which was served at 11.30am yesterday, included a selection of sandwiches, pies and jelly.
Wedding music played in the background added to the atmosphere.
Deborah Northin, head of Beech House, Bolton School’s infant school, said: “We have had two royal themed days in English, maths and art in the run-up to the wedding.”
The celebrations also marked the success of the Bolton School Old Boy Ian Jones, photographer to the Royal family, who will be snapping the wedding from a “prime spot” outside the abbey.
Meanwhile, patriotic youngsters held a red, white and blue day to celebrate the royal wedding.
Children at St Catherine’s CE Primary School in Horwich held a traditional street party in honour of Prince William and Kate.
As well as a royal banquet, children took part in traditional celebratory street games including egg and spoon race.
Headteacher Karen Graham said: “The children have been learning about the Royal Family and we had a mock wedding.”
