MARK Davies is likely to miss the rest of the season after being told to sort out his long-standing ankle problem.

The midfield ace has been ruled out of the derby against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park and Owen Coyle admits he looks set to play no further part in the campaign.

Davies saw a specialist this week to investigate the ligament damage that has restricted him to just nine Premier League starts this term. If, as expected, the tests reveal he will need remedial work in the summer, then the 23-year-old will certainly be ruled out of Wanderers' three remaining games.
