WANDERERS' poor away form looked set to continue after Martin Olsson fired Blackburn into a 20th-minute lead.
Owen Coyle’s side had taken just one point from a possible 30 on their travels prior to their trip to Ewood Park.
And a much-changed Bolton team will have to improve in the second half if they are to take anything from their latest away day after Olsson punished a catalogue of mistakes to put relegation-threatened Rovers in front.
Rodrigo, one of four changes from the side which lost at Fulham in midweek, gifted Blackburn possession before David Wheater backed off Olsson to allow the Swedish winger to beat Adam Bogdan at his near post.
Bogdan made amends to deny the dangerous Olsson, who saw an earlier effort headed off the line by Paul Robinson, a second minutes later.
Rodrigo rattled the upright before Rovers scored after Michel Salgado had unintentionally headed Matt Taylor’s free kick into his path in Wanderers’ best chance of a lacklustre first period.
