CELEBRITY Bolton author Monica Ali is backing a campaign to encourage people to start reading more sustainably.
The award-winning writer, pictured, is encouraging readers to swap and share books. She is supporting the book exchange website GreenMetropolis.com as part of an initiative for World Environment Day on Sunday June 5.
Monica, who was born in Bangladesh, came to Bolton at the age of three, grew up here and was educated at Bolton School.
She shared her story about her favourite book Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace”
