YOUNG entrepreneurs at Spindle Point Primary School, in Kearsley, swapped the classroom for the boardroom to raise money for charity.
Children took part in an enterprise project and everyone from the nursery class to Year Six got involved in planning, producing and selling items at the Enterprise Market, which was held after school.
Each class had a meeting with headteacher Sue Johnson, outlining their business plan and the amount of cash needed to start-up their business. They had to project their sales and profit margins.
Mrs Johnson said: “The children provided a range of stalls, including cakes, lucky wishing well, tattoos, homemade bracelets, and pin-the-beak-onthe- chick.
“Profit from the event amounted to £325 and all this has been donated to WaterAid Charity.”
