TWO men have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a man who killed a 12-year-old boy from Bolton in a car crash.
John Green, aged 25, was shot in the knee in King Street, Irlams o’ th’ Height, Salford, on April 16.
Mr Green, whose injury was not life threatening, was responsible for the death of 12-year-old Wesley Finney, from Farnworth, in a motorway crash in August, 2005.
He was driving his mother’s Toyota Yaris, which he had stolen, on the M602.
Mr Green was jailed at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, in 2007 after admitting causing death by careless driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident, taking a vehicle without consent and wounding.
He was released in May last year.
Two 24-year-old men have been arrested in connection with his shooting.
They have been bailed until June 6 pending further inquiries.
