The Bolton News website has seen a surge in visitors, the latest figures show.
The site was viewed by 14,211 daily unique users between July and December 2011, a rise of 15.7 per cent.
The new ABCe figures - which collate the number of unique users for regional newspaper websites across the UK - also showed theboltonnews.co.uk is attracting an average of 250,174 monthly unique users, a rise of 14.3 per cent.
The Bolton News has pushed into fresh territories over the past six months, producing the Bolton and Bury Football iPhone app as well as a Kindle version of our popular Wanderers Legends book. An iPad version is due out soon.
It is also seeing growing numbers of visitors to its Facebook and Twitter sites.
"Social media, video channels and mobile engagement are vitally important in delivering our reports to an increasing number of people," said Multimedia Editor David Crookes.
"As of the end of February 2012, looking at print, e-edition purchases and web traffic, our portfolio of brands reach more than 45,000 people in Bolton each day which shows a solid level of penetration in the local markets."
