BOLTON Under-14s made it two wins out of two when they beat Macclesfield 6-2 in their challenge match in Cheshire on Saturday.
The local youngsters made a dream start when Nadir Patel (Sharples) headed home in the opening minute.
Macclesfield levelled the scores before taking the lead, but Bolton hit back through Tom Axon-Smith (Canon Slade). School-mate George Lawton then grabbed a superb hat-trick and Aidan Sockett (Withins) completed the scoring.
Bury U14s made progress in the North West Woodward Trophy beating Wigan 3-1 in their first round clash. Adam Dawson (Derby), Ryan Ford (Tottington) and Mark Broderick (St Monica's) were on target.
