A CASINO is asking people to help raise money to save a wheelchair basketball club in Bolton.

The Bolton Bulls is in danger of folding unless more money can be raised for next season.

The Grosvenor Casino has organised a fun quiz night next month and plans to run more events.

Amanda Moss, the casino’s sales manager, said: “I want to raise the profile so people understand what they do. I have even been along to one of their games which was lethal.”

The club, which plays at Smithills, was formed in 1982 and celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

Miss Moss said the quiz will include general knowledge and a “chocolate” round, where players will have to identify different brands.

She added: “We will also have a picture round so smartphones won’t be any use. There will also be a touchy-feely round where people have to identify different objects.

“If this club does not get some cash it will have to fold.”

The quiz will be held at the casino on Thursday, April 12 ,at 8pm.

Teams should be no bigger than six and the cost is £5 a team. Either contact the casino on 01204 375820 for details or turn up on the night.
