TWO drug dealers who were caught red-handed by police have been jailed.
Paul Weall, aged 45, of Booth Road, Little Lever, and Gareth Larner, aged 42, of Cromer Avenue, Breightmet, were jailed for two years yesterday.
The pair both pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
Bolton Crown Court heard they had been followed by police in Bolton in August last year, when they saw people getting in and out of their car as they drove around.
Police found more than £200 in cash, 20 wraps of heroin and 10 wraps of crack cocaine in their car. The court was told the pair became involved in drug dealing to pay off a debt to another dealer, who they refused to name.
Sentencing, Judge Elliot Knopf said: “You were street dealers and you were effectively arrested red handed.”
