BUSINESSES in Bolton are struggling to survive because of rising fuel costs, a Bolton MP has said.
David Crausby is calling on the Government to scrap the planned 3p increase to fuel duty in August.
Mr Crausby, who represents Bolton North East, has signed an early day motion in Parliament.
He said: “I regularly hear from constituents who are struggling with the rising costs of getting to work.
“I have spoken to local charities and businesses that have uncertain futures simply because they cannot keep up with the cost of fuel.
“Action over this is needed not just because it will help individuals cope, but it will help our economy to recover.”
