A BOLTON firm has won a top business award.

Archive Solutions, based at Swan Lane Mill, Higher Swan Lane, Bolton received the Best Newcomer accolade at the City of Manchester Business Awards.

It comes as the document storage and management firm announced it had a turnover of £1.3 million The firm has a 100,000 sq ft site with 280,000 boxes of documents, 22 members of staff and offers a range of document services including storage, scanning and destruction.

Claire Dunn, the firm’s managing director, said: “We are a Bolton born and bred firm and are delighted with this award. We have a young and dynamic team and I feel very proud their achievements and our drive for excellent customer service have been recognised.”

Ms Dunn, aged 29, grew up in Farnworth and attended Harper Green School before winning an A-levels scholarship to Bolton School. She started work for her family-owned firm, ID Fire and Security, which has its base in Middleton.

She said: “Archive Solutions deals with a lot of professional services such as accountants and legal firms, and also small businesses. We are involved with lots of exciting developments at the moment and have just received ISA 9001/2008 accreditation.”

Her father, Brian Dunn, is chairman of ID Fire and Security and also a shareholder with Archive Solutions.

He also attended the awards night along with staff including Martin Harrison, Archive Solution’s business development manager, and Brian Halstead, the general manager.
