TODDLERS have been learning to read, paint and make friends.
The Bolton Literacy Trust runs Little Learners, which helps youngsters take part in structured play, story time, arts and crafts and singing.
Lead co-ordinator Julie Walsh, who has been involved with Little Learners since it was launched five years ago, said: “Little Learners is an ideal opportunity for parents and children to interact.
“We cater for preschool children and teach them how to play, read together and how to make friends. We also offer support to parents from health professionals.
“We run outings for the children too, from visits to the aquarium to picnics in the park.”
Volunteers run the sessions every Tuesday at the Hope Centre in Tattersall Avenue, Johnson Fold, from 9.30am to 11.30am.
