n TWO fines totalling £900 have been imposed for the sale of fireworks to under 18s.
One sale cost a Great Lever man £812.
Amjad Karim, aged 34, of Eustace Street, admitted one charge of supplying fireworks to a minor on October 28 last year.
Bolton magistrates fined him £400 and ordered him to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £397 costs.
And a shop was fined £500 for selling a firework to a person appearing to be aged under 18 year.
Representatives from Food and Tipple Ltd, in Tonge Road, Little Lever, admitted committing the offence on October 28 last year.
Magistrates also ordered the firm to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £449 costs to Bolton Council.
