WANDERERS will finally put to bed the long-running transfer saga of Matt Mills in the next 48 hours.
The Leicester City defender is due to tie up the few remaining loose ends of his £2million move from the King Power Stadium, six weeks after news of Owen Coyle’s interest first surfaced.
Mills had been wrangling with the Foxes over money owed to himself and his representatives which at one point threatened to put the transfer at risk. Just over a week ago, the centre-half was told he must return for pre-season training with the rest of Nigel Pearson’s squad after the club pulled out of talks.
Mills has already been through a medical and agreed terms with the Whites and is due at the Reebok today to complete the move, which could be formally announced tomorrow.
The 25-year-old, who joined Leicester from Reading in a £5m deal is expected to sign on a season-long loan, which will be made permanent next summer.
