RESURFACING work is set to continue on one of Bolton’s busiest roads for the next two Sundays.
Work at the junction of Blackhorse Street and Deansgate, in the town centre, got underway on Sunday, while preparatory work was carried out.
The junction is now to be resurfaced as part of Bolton Council’s on-going investment in the town centre.
In an effort to keep disruption to a minimum, the resurfacing has been scheduled to take place on Sundays, with road closures being in place on July 8, and again on July 15.
The closures will be between 7.30am and 6pm.
Deansgate will be closed in one direction from Howell Croft North to its junction with Moor Lane and Marsden Road. It will remain open to motorists travelling from Moor Lane or Marsden Road on to Deansgate.
Vehicles will not be able to access Blackhorse Street, via its junction with Deansgate. Diversions will be sign posted.
