SEVEN graphic design graduates from Bolton have teamed up to create an exhibition in a bid to impress potential employers.
Young designers Michael Abbott, Helen Faisal, Erin Graham, Rachel Holt, Katy Howarth, Lauren Tonge and Samantha Williams will showcase One Night Stand next week.
Samantha, who opted for a change of career and embarked on a degree in graphic design after being made redundant as a solicitor, said: “It is a one-off exhibition where people in the industry can come together, share a drink, listen to music and look round at what we have to offer.
“It is no longer enough just to send off your portfolio and CV and I hope design agencies will come along and let us show them what we are capable of.” Invitations have been sent to local design agencies but are also available to businesses who use designers. The event will take place at 2022NQ, Dale Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester on August 23 from 6pm. Free tickets can be obtained by e mailing onenightstandbolton@gmail.com.
