TEENAGE singing sensation Iman Orths is hoping to get her big break by performing for the royal family — after her performances have proved a big hit on the internet.

More than 180,000 people have logged on to watch the 14-year-old from Heaton perform chart-topping hits on YouTube.

Now, the talented Bolton School pupil is to take to the stage at the Liverpool Empire Theatre in a bid to be chosen to perform in front of royalty.

Iman only discovered her singing talent when she performed at a concert while playing the piano in Horwich .

She was then encouraged by friends to upload videos on YouTube — which she and her home sister Farah, aged 17, filmed at their home.

Now Iman has uploaded 17 videos which have received more than 180,000 hits.

She said: “I was quite nervous performing at the concert two years ago, but the reaction I got from the audience made me really happy.

“After that I started singing more and the feedback I have got is so positive that it has made me more confident.”

Iman decided to audition for a place in the Royal Gala to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at a Children’s Royal Variety show at London’s Savoy Theatre.

She is one of 13 appearing on Sunday, September 16, and has been selected from more than 1,000 under-18s.

Her audition tape was of her singing Next To Me by Emeli Sande, which has had more than 68,000 hits on YouTube.

On Sunday, she will be perform a mash up of Rihanna’s We Found Love and Karmin’s Brokenhearted.

The talented performer, who has also branched out into songwriting with her sister, is taking everything in her stride.

Iman said: “Things have happened so fast, but I am enjoying it. It was amazing to have been chosen. I really love singing. I do want to be a singer, but I also want to continue with my education and go on to university.”

The judging panel who chose Iman to perform at Liverpool included Arlene Phillips, X Factor musical director Nigel Wright and Yvie Burnett, voice coach on the BBC's The Voice.
