MEMBERS of a secret cake-making club met at Bolton Town Hall to share their tasty treats.
The Clandestine Cake Club, which started in Bolton in February, is one of 150 such clubs across the world.
Meetings are held once per month in a secret location that is only revealed to members about a week before the event.
The aim is to support local businesses at the venues while socialising and sharing their passion for cake.
The latest meeting was held at the Lancaster Suite in Bolton Town Hall on a “back to school” theme.
Cakes included a stop children lollypop sign cake, a Fairy Liquid cake — ginger loaf with ginger and lime icing, a conkers and marbles cake and a staff room Jaffa Cake.
Organiser Rachel McGrath said: “I have to admit that this month's theme was meant to be a challenge.
“My aim was to push people's creativity in the hope of getting a diverse mix of cakes.”
The next meeting will be on October 20 and the theme will be “Monster Mash”. Bakers are being asked to take along cakes on a Halloween theme.
