POLICE have reopened one of Bolton's busiest junctions after it was closed for 11 hours following a car crash.
At 3am today, officers and paramedics were called to Bradford Street at St Peters Way after a Volkswagen Golf collided with a Toyota Avensis.
One man who fled the scene and fell off a roof nearby is critically ill in hospital and police sealed off the junction while they carried out a detailed investigation.
The road reopened at 2pm and traffic began to return to normal in time for the evening rush hour.
Since the onset of the morning rush hour, the road closures have lead to severe road delays near the scene, with motorists and bus passengers experiencing delays.
