TICKETS for Bolton’s big Winter Festival go on sale today.
People have a chance to get a slice of the season action taking place around the town centre this December.
Bolton Council announced recently that it was bringing a host of attractions, including a giant 55-metre snow slide, to attract shoppers and boost trade over the festive period.
Newport Street will see the return of the popular artificial snow slide, sponsored by the University of Bolton, while Victoria Square will host Bolton’s first covered ice rink, sponsored by Market Place Shopping Centre.
On Oxford Street, a traditional log cabin Santa’s grotto, with a snow roof and a giant glittering, singing symphony tree will also entertain visitors.
Events start with a Festive Artisan Market on December 1 to 11, followed by the snow slide and ice rink from December 10 to January 8 and Santa’s grotto from December 10 to 24.
