POLICE attended a primary school this morning following reports that a 'threat' was made.
Police were called to Dukesgate Academy in Earlsdon Crescent, Little Hulton at 6.25am on Thursday, December 1.
An eyewitness on social media described the prescence of armed officers on the scene.
They said: “Can anyone enlighten what's gone on at Dukesgate School and Amblecote Estate, Little Hulton. Armed police, school closed, all teachers escorted out.
“We got texts saying boiler broke.
“It's got to be bad. We need to know what's going on before kids get sent back in.”
It's understood that parents were earlier texted about a broken boiler at the school.
A police spokesman said: “Police are in attendance at a primary school on Earlsdon Crescent in Little Hulton after they received a report of a threat made towards the school.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
Reassurance after 'threat' to school
The school is currently closed but parents have been text saying it will be open tomorrow as usual.
