BRITAIN’S Got Talent returns to our screens this weekend, and there will be a familiar names and faces appearing in the idents.

Bolton-based electrical firm, AO.com, will be this year’s sponsors of the popular ITV talent show and have used past BGT acts to help them in creating their idents.

Among them will be dance troupe, Old Men Grooving and their signature cardigans, Lucy and her Maltese-Pomeranian dog, Trip Hazard, and ventriloquist Steve Hewlett with his dummy co-star, Arthur Lager.

As well as these familiar faces, AO.com have hired a magician, a contortionist, a strong man, a mime artist, more dance troupes, synchronised swimmers and even AO.com staff to make a range of short clips that will be aired before and after the adverts.

The company have been working hard to create something exciting, and have enlisted the help of prestigious production company, The Mob Film Co, to make and film the videos.

The Mob’s production team have worked on recent television hits for Channel 4, Netflix

Mark Collins, director of production at The Mob, said: “Our aim was to collaborate and capture the spirit of the business in a creative way, while staying true to Britain’s Got Talent’s core identity.

“The shoot was of a huge scale and often felt like our own mini version of Britain’s Got Talent”

AO.com Brand Director, Andy O’Brien said it was tricky trying to capture the spirit of the company, which was formed in 2000 after a bet in a Bolton pub, in the ten seconds allowed.
